Q: What is an escape room?
An escape room is a live, cinematic adventure. You and your team become the main characters, solving puzzles and uncovering secrets before time runs out. No experience needed—just curiosity and teamwork.
Q: Will we be locked in?
No. Doors are never locked and you can step out anytime. But we promise you’ll want to stay until the very end.
Q: Is Shadow Zen scary?
Not scary. Shadow Zen is a mystery adventure full of atmosphere and clever puzzles—no horror, no jump scares.
Q: What makes Escape Portal different?
Escape Portal is not “just another escape room.” We handpick the world’s best rooms, discovered through years of playing globally, and bring them to Bangkok with a cinematic twist. Every experience is internationally acclaimed and award-winning—so you get to play some of the world’s finest adventures without boarding a plane.
Shadow Zen
Step back over a century into an ancient Japanese temple. Follow the mysterious trail of monk Nakamura Bonta, solve ancient puzzles, and confront a rising dark force before it’s too late. Shadow Zen is not just a game—it’s a cinematic story you live with your team.
Q: Can children play?
Our games are recommended for ages 13 and up. Younger players are welcome too—kids often surprise us by spotting clues adults miss. If a player is under 13, at least one adult (18+) must join the team.
Q: Are games private?
Yes. Every booking is private for your group only—never with strangers.
Q: How many players per room?
Escape Portal accommodates 2–4 players per room. For the best experience, we cannot host more than 4 players in a single game.
Q: Can I bring more friend(s) along?
Of course! Games are often even more fun with more teammates—as long as the total does not exceed 4 players per game.
- Let us know at least 48 hours in advance and we’ll send you a payment link.
- If you bring an extra player without notice, they can still join on the day by paying the walk-in rate.
Q: Can I reschedule my booking?
Bookings are non-refundable, but you can reschedule once for free if you notify us at least 48 hours before your game.
Q: Can we start at a different time than shown on the calendar?
Sorry, we cannot. Each session runs on a carefully orchestrated game plan, with preparation needed to deliver the best adventure.
Q: How early should we arrive?
Please arrive no more than 5 minutes early. We don’t have a waiting area, but there’s a café and convenience store downstairs.
Q: What if we are late?
Games start on time. If you’re late, your play time will be reduced. More than 20 minutes late may result in cancellation without refund.
Q: Is there parking?
Yes. Parking is available at Piya Place. Stamp your ticket for 1 hour free. Additional hours are 30 THB each.
Q: How do we get there?
Escape Portal is in Piya Place on Ploenchit Road, right next to Mercury Ville. The easiest way is by BTS Chidlom, Exit 4—just a few steps away.
Q: Is it safe?
Absolutely. Doors are never locked and our staff monitors every game.
Q: Can we drink a little before playing?
Not at all. We need you at your sharpest, and our rooms are not tipsy-proof. If our staff feel a player is intoxicated or disrupting the game, they may refuse entry or remove them from the session.
Q: Is the game wheelchair accessible?

Q: What payment methods do you accept?
At the moment we only accept bank transfer.
Q: Do you offer gift cards?
